It is a very early cross and hence many people grow it.
The cross is able to grow into a huge plant. I have seen some plants as tall as an adult.

Yes they get big. We have one at the gardens that weighs 140lbs. Waiting for it to bloom big. Probably next year. It's still sulking after repotting.

My favorite Den. I grew about six flasks to flowering in the mid eighties.

Did your cross flower the same? I read somewhere that nobody was able to re-make this cross, and the only way to get the same flowers is by getting a division of the plant; is it true?

They were close enough that only the five orchid wonders( judges-living in condos) were the only ones able to really "see" the difference . Mine was selfed by Ruben in Orchids.Miami.
