Default Den. amethystoglossum

I have bloomed this plant before but not like this. To my amazement 49 flower spikes appeared. The buds started opening 3 days ago. Unfortunately the blooms do not last very long, maybe 2-3 days at the most. The flowers open sequentially with the older flowers closing as the new flowers open. The plant is in a 8-inch plastic pot with bark as the media. The tallest stalk is 32 inches tall.

What's the secret to growing these? Full sun so that the leaves drop? I have a young plant and it just bloomed a couple months ago on canes that still had their leaves green. Also, do they need a dry rest?
