Here is my first true bloom, I helped a friend move a while ago and found this starving Den. attached in a tree. I brought it home and attached it on a piece of driftwood and almost let it die because I couldn't remember to water it. Well since Feb. when I got hooked on orchids I started taking good CARE of it. It has rewarded me with these.

That tree looks small. How much sun does it get? I have a couple nobile dends, and reg dend keiki's that I would like to try something like taht with. But all my trees are smaller, as in young and tall with slender trunk. Wont provide a lot of shade. 2 pears and 2 pecans. Oh and a larger orange. Would the acclimate to the sun. I seldom have frost here on the bay. Thanks, Gladys

Actually it is mounted on a piece of driftwood and it gets a ton of light, it faces south but no direct sunlight. And watered daily

OK so I guess I need more coffee! I sure thought it was mounted on a tree!;-} But you say it gets plenty of sun? just not much direct. That would ;eave me out. But it was a good idea! Just need to pray for my trees to grow faster! Gladys
