Default drying leaves

I have a NOID den that has a newer cane whose leaves are drying out after I did my weekly watering/fertilizing.
What do you do with your dens to encourage new growth without doing a sphrag n' bag technique?

Can you submit pictures? I have a dozen or so noid Dendrobs, most sending out new canes and spikes. They are in dappled light, misted frequently, and fertilized with a high phosphorous fertilizer, (25% strength) every two weeks during the fall. None show what you describe. Possible causes, fertilizer burn, low humidity or too much sun? I Can't think of anything else.

Hmm, I bet it was the different fert I tried this weekend...
Here are some pics, any help would be great. I haven't really ever had a dendrobium type orchid, so it's new to me!

Hard to tell from pics. Doesn't look like fertilizer burn. Looks more like it was thirsty, because the green cane is not plump like it should be. Why did you think it may be the fertilizer?

I think it may be the fert I used for two reasons: first, I've never used this particular fert on my den, and second, as soon as I watered, fertilized, it dried up the next day! Cra-zy!
I just watered it today after seeing your post, hopefully it will help it's thirst, but also flush out anything my little NOID doesn't like.
I'm just trying to find it's happy medium. I water each week and mist each day. Should I increase?

Perhaps. How much light does this plant get? If I could figure out how to upload the pictures to the post I would send pics of mine, growing in potting soil, with some peat added. They are spiking right now on 3' canes. They get bright light all day, but little if any direct sun. I have had them in the same large clay pot for about 5 years. These Den. noids actually get little care from me, and do better than those that I tend to several times a week. ) I need to read my last sentence a few more times for it to sink in.

Is it pretty humid where you are? I'm in Minnesota, so this little den is in my orchidarium which I keep lit for around 10 hours a day.
It's potted with a bark mix in a shallow clay pot. Now that it's getting colder/dryer up here for the fall/winter, I'm going to find some more ways to increase the humidity in the orchidarium.
It's just odd tho that the newer, younger cane is the cane that is yellowing? Frustrating.

Dens don't go down that fast, really don't believe it was caused by the fertilizer, (IMO) something else is buggin it.
How much light is this den getting?
How long do you let this go dry before watering again?
I'm thinking it might be a watering issue.

I mist it every day and water a good soaking each week. Do you think it needs to be constantly moist???? Any other tips would be great!
