Hi, Does anyone here have Den. spectabile? I just bought 2 of them last week and am wondering if someone could tell me a little more about them. I have a feeling they get really large...right? Do they need a lot of water, sun, fert? Sorry I know nothing about them.

Pretend it's a medium light cattleya.
Let it dry a bit before the flowering season.
Post your location in your profile. Medium light in Costa Rica or Queensland is a "bit different' than New York or Michigan.

Default Dendrobium spec.

I have one that is about two years old. It puts out new growth but hasn't flowered yet so I did look it up. The info said it needs medium to bright light in summer and bright in winter. Water throughout the year. Stop fertilizing early to mid fall. If grown very warm and fertilized heavily will not bloom, just grow. (This is what mine is doing.)

I'm going to try these instructions and hope for the best.
