Nobile hybrids showing buds!
Default Nobile hybrids showing buds!

These pictures were taken one month ago.
I have grown them under full sun filtered through window. I burned about two leaves, but that's about it.

Then I transferred these guys to my friends apartment where there is a unheated but glass protected balcony since last november.

I am going back tomorow to check on the progress.
I hope that I will see lots of growing buds, not tons of keikis. lol

First three pictures and the very last picture are of Love Memory Fizz. When I bought it last winter, it came with two mature cane, one of which had tons of flowers.
It grew 4 canes during the summer. now all 4 of those new canes and one of those mature canes (showing in the picture with no leaves, well, there are two of them, but the shorter one is the one I'm talking about) have something poking out of them along their length.
At the bottom, three new shoots are growing fast already. Winter has been quite mild this year in NYC.

The next two pictures are of Oriental Smile Fantasy. It came with one broken off mature cane loaded with very exotic flowers and another tall cane that was still growing. It got really really tall over the summer.
Towards the end of summer, an unexpected new shoot started and that one got stunted when the cool weather hit. The tall mature cane is now showing lots of little bumps. hopefully flower buds....the cane dropped all the leaves by the way.

The next two picture are of Yellow Song Canary. It had quite a few canes when I bought it. Three or four of them had many flowers. One cane is showing a few keikis. It actually grew keikis during the summer as well, but I picked them off.
They showed no sign of showing flower buds at the time these pictures were taken.
I can live without this one though. hehe

Love Memory and Oriental Smile Fantasy are my absolute favorites!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow I will find out how they are doing!
