Default Dendrobium kingianum double blossom

I have a D. kingianum which is starting to open, and I noticed that one of the flowers is a double, split into two not quite complete flowers joined at the base. I've never seen that happen before with an orchid.

That's pretty! My snapdragons did the same thing last summer.

If you use any kind of growth regulators or hormones this can happen. If the plant is new for you then perhaps the nursery you got it from was using them. Also some pesticides can have this effect as well.

In any case, I find these random mutations intriguing.
