Mounting Den.

Hi all, I am thinking of mounting a small Den.amethystoglossom and was wondering if it should be mounted with the leaves up or down? What about facicerum? and lowii? Maybe they shouldnt be mounted at all. What is your opinion? Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.... Jean

I have 2 Dens mounted, in fact they are the only 2 mounts I've kept. That's because they don't mind if I skip a day or two and don't require the EVERY SINGLE DAY watering routine ! Mine are both Phalaenopsis type Dens so the leaves are up. The one in the pix I mounted 12/2005.

Hey vjo, as far as I know these are all epiphytes/lithophytes so should do okay mounted provided you give them adequate water. I would mount them upright if that's how they've already been growing in pots; in general most plants will grow toward the light source. Hope this helps!
