how cool was 'on the cool side'? These nobile hybrids must go through at least one month of cold night (lower than 58 degree fahrenheit is what the breeder recommends on his website)
Fertilizing must stop very early, during the midsummer or earlier. Do not use slow releasing type.
Watering can be normal unless the temperature is very low, which does not apply to your case since you mentioned you kept it on the cool side. too little water can actually blast the growing buds.
Let's see what else....oh, they need to be exposed to a strong light. I grow mine in full sun filtered through window glass.

You live in Northern Cali, so I guess you can rebloom them easy! just leave them out until late fall, then bring them indoor when the buds appear.
