Dendrobium delicatulum

Does anyone have any cultural advice for this plant? The only thing I can find online is from IOPSE which says warm to hot for temperatures. Being a PNG plant, I know it will need good water, but that's about the extent of my information.

I just got a pretty good sized piece from a private grower, but he said he was never able to bloom it. He grew it intermediate to warm, medium light, mounted, and watered daily. With that in mind, I'm pretty sure I can keep it alive, but I'd really like to bloom it.

I grow mine in full sun under 55% shade cloth, Temps are 50-85 with H/L of 34-110, Water twice a week, fertilizer @ 125ppm N, It will need cool night temps to get it to bloom.

Also, try to use a fertilizer with Ca/Mg.

My min night temps right now are in the mid 60's. Do you think that's enough or does it need to drop lower?

I don't grow this, but do have kingianum (one of the parents) - has buds beginning to show now.

I don't think mid 60s is likely to be cool enough for blooms. It's probably too late to be concerned about cool temps for blooming this year (my kingi grows outside, so I'm not sure what the "key" temps are - it takes down to freezing for short periods, sheltered from frost), but I thought I have read that x delicatum does not require quite the cool period that kingis do, not sure how low they might want to be.

I did just find this

Lower temperatures considerably as these plants are exposed to night temperatures down to 40ºF during the winter in nature

They need to be in the mid low 50's at night. Ideally you need to start dropping the temps around Oct. when the days get shorter.

I just want to make sure we're all talking about the same plant. I'm looking for advice on Den. delicatulum (also called Den. parvulum). This is a mini species from Papua New Guinea. It's in the section Oxyglossum, but it is supposed to be from lower elevations than cuthbertsonii, etc. I only know of two people who have bloomed it, one told me he grows it warm and the other cool. That's why I'm confused.

Sorry I mis-read the title.... I was thinking Den. delicatum...

My suggestion is to get a Bakers culture sheet.
