Den. Pixie Charm
Den. Pixie Charm (Yellow Chinsai X unicum, 1991). VERY hard to get a pix !! You can see by the camera angle !! That's the unicum's influence ! 2 new pix full view.
Some nice pix of Pixie while the sun was coming in the window today, 1/5.

Really nice, yes I can see the unicum influence in the flower shape and angle.

Nice one, Chryss! I like the lip on yours better than a lot I've seen of this cross. Pretty pale yellow color, too.

A really nice one. Is the plant a compact grower?

Yes and no ! Not tall but spreads out fan like or nobile like somewhat. Compared to a nobile type , yes it's compact. The canes are approx 12" each. I'll take a pix of the plant tomorrow for you.

Love it! I really like all the "octopus" orchids any more.

update = more pix !
Here's the pix. It's actually in a 3" slotted plastic pot which is in the 4" clay pot you see for weight when I put it outside. From the bottom to top pix it's 16". The spread in the 1st pix is 9" from center of the pot. I got it in March '08 so it's almost 4 years old and I'd call it a compact grower !!! The last pix is the first bloom in '08 in its 2" plastic pot inside a clay pot.

Thought there had to be some unicum in there as soon as I saw the pictures!
Really like you 2008 picture, very neat and tidy. Still can't control that unicum flower influence though!
