Nice surprise, mine hasn't even started to spike, and probably won't do so for another 2-3 months. What did you do to initiate it to start so early?

Very nice. I have a pretty big 'un mounted, but I don't expect bloom until the end of Jan at the earliest. Bet is smells nice.
Good Growing,

And mine doesn't bloom until April. I am also wondering how you managed to get it to flower so early.

Ok truth is I have no Idea what I did to get it to initiate early ...I will tell you I have not ever done the cool dry rest period in winter ever, it sits right in with the catts and get watered every day and fertilized right along with them ....so far it has grown new leads all year round and in fact has been growing non stop this year as well.I just seem to get lucky with dens even the ones they say need a cool dry rest ...den parrishii is blooming right now as well.
Dendrobium nestor is growing a new lead at the moment and last year bloomed with out ever losing a leaf Parrishii did the same last spring and right now as well not a leaf has dropped and buds everywhere and 15 or 20 open right now.

I have a Den. aggregatum var. majus 'Fields'.....I have not watered it since Oct. 31st until today, I gave it some water without fertilizer. So, I should expect blooms in the Spring? Should I be watering it a little every month or so during Winter rest? Should I use fertilizer? Thanks!

A small amount of water now and then is fine but no fertilizer.
