My NOID white dendrobium spiking again!
Default My NOID white dendrobium spiking again!

This one was in bloom from January till May.
After a short rest, it grew a new cane during the summer and it is now bigger than the previous one which had two flower spikes.
I'm posting a picture from early June when I noticed the swelling of an eye at the node, then a picture of growth progress in early August.
And finally, last two were taken today.

The flower is cream white with slight green tint to it and it has subtle but nice fragrance.

Beautiful! I love phal-dens. They take so little effort, are tolerant of neglect, and, three to four times a year, put out multiple, fabulous spikes of long lasting blooms. I wish all my orchids perfomed so well. Your white one is beautiful!

Mines take lots of care. They dry out quickly so I water them a lot everyday. and fertilize every week.
Yes, I love them. They are beautiful and fun to watch how fast they grow during the summer. then super long lasting flowers all year around! (I have a few, so I always have den party in the apartment!

Default Thank you, everyone! :)

Yes, I love them although I wish I knew what they were called. I have three white dendrobiums, that are similar but all different, and they are all NOID. Then, one mislabled, and the rest have a name.

Yeah, it has been doing very well here. I was worried in the beginning though because some leaves were turning yellow and dropping the first couple of weeks I got it last winter. I thought it was going to die. but then it stopped losing leaves and the bloom stayed forever!
then boom! this amazing growth over the summer and now I see the spike coming out again.

Default update on the growing spike!

This is two weeks' growth and I already see a few tiny buds forming. I wonder how many I will see compared to the 11 I had in the previous bloom, but regardless, I will be happy just to have white flowers that smells nice in the middle of winter.

I will continue to update on this thread I guess.

Default An update...

So the flowers have finally opened as of last week.
Three blooms and six more to go.

It is light cream white with green tint to it.
It is pleasantly scented as well in the morning.

This one is a keeper.
