Each spike on my Yellow Song Canary has elongated and has three or four buds a piece. That should give me a pretty good display, because it has about ten spikes. This is the first bloom--well kinda--After I got it from Hausermann's it grew a tiny keiki that had three of the prettiest little butter-yellow blooms I have ever seen!I am really looking forward to the full bloom.
I think I can handle the dimensions of the Genting Fragrant, so I will look for one. I am used to a long spike, as long as the canes do not get too large. If you know, where did you get yours--I have not seen it advertised in any of the orchid nurseries I usually buy from...

Yellow Song has an amazing ability to bloom even on two inch long cane! :)

Yeah, Genting Fragrance is not very common in America. The growers in Asia usually don't export unless the minimum order is $1,000, which is waaaay too much for a home grower like me.
I found mine at a orchid shop here in NYC. White, green, pink ones are common and every once in a while, they would have a few unusual varieties. I got lucky I guess.

Keep searching and if mine ever grows keiki, I will let you know.

Love these guys! Lots of flowers and super long lasting! :)
Last three, especially Genting Fragrance, smells very nice!

1. Sakda Blue
2. Jaq-Arcuatum
3. Burana Jade
4. Chao Praya Gem
5. NOID white 3
6. Genting Fragrance
7. NOID blue

I have some more that are beginning to spike now and I am just so excited about it, although given the limited light I can give them here, I don't expect to see as many flowers as I did in the summer.

These are absolutely beautiful. Congratulations. I can only hope.
