If you ever want to show a plant for judging, two plants in one pot is a no-no.

"Cat" highlighted one of the issues well, but I'll add that the primary issue is that if one plant has a health problem of any sort, they both will.

a quick update

The dens ( 3 ) are all doing well, with plenty of root and leaf growth. Its been an unqualified success.

I did another co-pot with 2 zygo's. One of them has 3 new growths and the other has 2. This one is outside ( as an experiment, because of zygo temp requirements ), but is thriving even through the 100f weather we've been having. Both have a common species parent ( likes hot weather ), and I would thus be careful in assuming that all zygos can withstand hot weather. My other zygos are all inside...

The common horticultural term for many plants in one pot is a 'group planting'.

I'm glad you've had success orchidsarefun. I think I will probably be going down this route when I start running out of space.
