Dendrochilum cobbianum
Presenting : "Cobb's Dendrochilum (Dendrochilum cobbianum), described by Heinrich Gustav Reichenbach in 1880: is an epiphytic orchid occurring in the Philippines, growing on moss-covered trees. It can sometimes also occur as a lithophyte growing on rocks at altitudes above 1200 m.
The bloom is white to green-white, creamy with yellow throats that emerge alongside new growth that have a diameter of 1.8 cm. There is a fragrant scent of new mown hay. When in bloom a multitude of flowers are contained on arching inflorescences, with a length of about 50 cm; but my plant has shorter blooms because it is a first time bloom from seedling.
A single lanceolate leaf with prominent midrib sprouts from a conical, yellow pseudobulb.
This species is easy to grow and generally prefers intermediate temperatures and moderate light. It will generally grow very fast, usually doubling in size every year."

Thanks for the kind words, Monika!
Manhattan has a flower district near Chelsea and one of the shop owner is a friend....they have a catalogue of flowers to order from especially orchids from all over the world....the shop orders mostly boxes and boxes of Phals by the bulk and Dendrobiums in spike or near to open some cut Vanda or Mokara flowers....and sometimes a unique orchid or two is ordered and sent with the bulk at less cost sometimes given free and it comes home with me....
