Den. Blue Twinkle "Carmela"
I was so excited to find this mericlone at our local Box store that I broke the spike gettng it out of the car. Sorry for such a lousy pic, it has thirty-odd, quarter size flowers. The flowers are a violet/purple/white mix on an eighteen inch spike. Mild sweet fragrance. First time I had seen these.

You found that in a box store?!? Omg, I'm so jealous, that Den is unbelievably gorgeous. I really want one, I love antelop type Dens!
Shame about the broken spike though.

Wow, so gorgeous! What a shame you broke the spike but at least you know what you can look forward to when it blooms again!

Very nice! I saw this yesterday at Lowe's and it stopped me in my tracks. I was very impressed with the blooms, and it's a beautiful plant as well. They also had like 7 or 8 really nice Vandas. The only one I might have wanted was an orange miniatum cross, and go figure it was the only one with the tag broken off and the plant was a tad wilty. Oh well. But very nice to see some substantial quality orchids at Lowe's. Congrats on your new Den!

There are thousands of these in Florida right now. They are very young plants blooming for the first time. You may get more flowers this season. When these are mature (3-5 more years) you can expect flowers 6-8 months a year.
I have had old canaculatum hybrids in bloom from April to Christmas. I can not remember when my Den. Lori Mortimore was not in flower. Canaculatum are the most interesting Den hybrids.

Jerry, would you happen to know if it's possible to get a flask of them somewhere? I really fell in love with it, but no sign of it on this side of the pond...

I would just like to have more, if they are in different colors, anyone know who might be selling these?
