Flickingeria is relative to dendrobiums.
Blooms of Flickingeria are short-lived, seldom longer than one day.

Wow. I've never seen one of these. Too bad the flowers are so short lived.

That's maybe why they are seldom grown.
Some blooms of Flickingeria species are amazing, such as Flickingeria comata.
