Default Den. Maiden Charlotte

A cross of aberrans x rhodostictum. I got this plant in 2008, repotted it using CHC and perlite and it just went into hibernation (no new growths, no blooms). So, this past May I decided to try Orchiata and here is the result; 9 spikes plus 10 new growths so far.

Thanks for looking

I also have problems with my Den. Maiden Charlotte. It's now in osmunda in a net pot but is dropping its leaves and looks as though I could lose the plant. What sort of medium is Orchiata? Maybe I can come up with something similar here in Canada. Thanks. Congrats on yours! Looks good.

Hi Shirley,

Orchiata is some type of bark from New Zealand. It was recommended by my OS and so far all the orchids that I switched are all doing better, although it's a little pricey compared to regular bark
