So here's an update after a few days!
The buds are developing nicely! In the past, this orchid was prone to bud blast I think as a result of insect damage so I'm looking out for that! but so far, there are 10 buds on one spike!
The roots are also growing so healthily! This orchid must be working hard as it's growing roots on both its spike, and before the spikes even developed, it was working on developing a new cane (which is only about 3/4 grown).
...which is probably why the second spike/keiki has stalled all this time, as the 4th pic shows, except for the rapid development of roots. It's just about the same size as it was last week!!
