Yes, this is a Dendrobium, I have several dendrobium NOIDS that have the exact same leaf and stem structure. In the summer water frequently and do not let it dry out. A good idea is to type Dendrobium care in Google and follow the directions, for cane Dendrobs. For the most part, the Dendrobium are easy to grow if you give them the care and conditions of their native habitat.
Let me add my two cents. Yes this is a noid Dendrobium. I have 4 or 5 that people gave me. A few years ago I put them in a clay pot with potting soil & peat. Last year there were about 10 canes with multiple spikes and hundreds of blossum. I give the pot a good bath every week, fertilize very lightly, except in the winter when I do not water it. Right now there are about 10 spikes and I expect there will be 15 or 20 when it really gets going in the fall. I will post a picture in the fall, when I figure out how.
I also got some seedlings from him there not growing any bigger but there do have new baby dendros coming up so at least they did not die. Im just glad I got them for really cheap.
I got a dend noid in Feb cos it was the only orchid at the fair! It's only just finished flowering and I have 2 spikes just about to flower! Certainly got my moneysworth! Enjoy!
