Dont do much with them. They are actually a result of me growing indoors trying to make my orchids look more like houseplants ya know. They get such a bad rap for looking sad most of the time, Ive tried to make them less Sad. Ive even pounded on that a few times as to the why orchids are reduced to a back lot when they arent in spike or blooming. I want mine up front, I paid for them and I want to look at them.
Back to the question. They are easy to care for. I just do my weekly weakly watering on them. Pour it in and turn em upside down let it drain back out. Done. On occasion I re-moss them up just bec I like to look how they doing. Its easier to get them out to maintain the jars if they are in net baskets that fit the bowls..Yes those are fish bowls . Guess how much they cost? 1 dollar each. I love dollar stuff!! Trouble with the net basket if you want to call it trouble is I have had to break off new growths to get them out of the jars. Dont like to do that but if theres lot of new stuff 1 or 2 popping out thru the basket wont hurt them none to break em off.. I know

They bowls need to be cleaned about every 3rd month or so and have the rocks washed off etc etc as I like them clean. They like fresh moss too...

I cut one spike off today as it was blasting the buds. Cut it to save the other one I hope. 5 spikes now. I think I got it to close to the light and they dried up.
