Dendrobium cuthbertsonii bud?

please tell me this little plant thats had such a rough time from the day I opened his box is got a bud?

If so I have 2 buds

Had these about 3 months now.They were purply green when I got them and soon turned purply all over..They starting to get some green back and some new little shoots with teeeeny tiny leaves.

Now what that big EGG on top?

We have to see if I can do it..had one blast before I even knew what it was.. These are bi color and have to wait to see what color..bet on RED




the plants still look pretty rough IMO but they look good also at the same time

Yes, that's a bud - right time of year, too, though they can produce flowers throughout the year. They look pretty healthy and do best under high light.

I have one budding right now also! I was so excited that I ran out and got another one in a different color so they can be 'bud'dies

orchids they like buddies

yes very high light. stays wet/moist and keep em in front an AC blowing across them so they get a good cool low degree breeze .

I was disappointed at 1st when I got them mainly bec they had already budded. Really Happy to see more so soon .

Watching the new growths I didnt even notice these could be buds... for a very long time..

still waiting on this one too .
its about to fall over, thats when Im guessing it decides to open and let the little baby seeds out to go play in the dirt..
