thanks Nicole, Melissa, silken, ezil, Ron

Nicole, it has a nice, but very subtle fragrance - tho it is growing outdoors, and I'm usually not out there til later in the day, so it could be stronger earlier in the day. This still has a number of buds yet to open, so hopefully there will be blooms for a bit. I got this one in bud/spike a couple years ago - after all the spikes had finished blooming, the plant did get a couple more spikes - hopefully it can do that again

aw thanks, Melissa - I do have orchids I haven't been doing so well with, I just don't post pix of them Fortunately, the really sorry looking ones are in the minority tho.

aw, too bad you missed out, silken - tho these do like to keiki, so I'm sure you will be able to get your hands on one pretty soon. So far, mine has grown a few keikis, but the roots haven't grown really well - I think because it's pretty dry here in summer, so I have left them on the plant. Should I get some keikis with better root growth, I'll let you know.

hehe - ezil, I use vinegar on weeds that come up in the cracks in cement - I think I need to show a few orchids what happens when I do that

thanks, Ron - I was quite surprised by how many spikes this little plant put out

Hi, I used to have one Dendrobium Kingianum, love it, but this year died, I didn't have to much info about it and the weather here in Miami, I do have a beautiful orchid house that my husband and I build, now I have to buy another one, but first I will like to know info how to care for.

well, I don't allow it to dry out, watered frequently in summer, less in winter - just keeping it from being completely dry in winter. Moderate light. Mine gets several hours of sun in the morning during summer. It seems the "trick" to blooming these is cooler temps, tho I don't know exactly what the temps required are - mine just has been growing outside year round.

Thanks Rosie

This has a nice, but subtle fragrance - it is outside, and I'm not usually checking the plants til afternoon - I suppose it could be stronger earlier in the day. But, I do remember when I got it (in spike/bud), and it came into bloom - fragrance was subtle then too. I did have an alba x delactum that was extremely fragrant - one open bloom scented the whole room! Unfortunately that plant didn't make it

hehe - I use white vinegar to kill weeds that come up in cracks in the cement, so I've been joking about "threatening" the non-blooming orchids with death by vinegar

A truly wonderful little plant. Living in Northern California probably contributes a lot.
