I grow my plant in my basment. When my kingianums were in bloom I could smell them at the top of the stairs. I don't grow these any more. They made great gifts.

In general, they're fragrant.

When I first bought mine, I could smell the sweet scent.

Other than the time when I got it in bloom, it's bloomed twice for me.

The fragrance has gotten progressively weaker each subsequent blooming season.

This season, I can't smell them at all.

I don't know if that has to do with a nutrient deficiency or if there are other factors at play.

I noticed that mine was the most fragrant when the sun was on it. So it was quite fragrant from mid morning until the afternoon.

I might just be imagining this, but it seems like all of my fragrant orchids are fragrant as long as they are being warmed by the sun. Once the sun is off of them, I don't ever smell them. Maybe it's just me, lol...
