Dendrobium Glorious Rainbow - Orchid Board

I received this beauty a couple (maybe a few) years ago from Jerry (aka Leisurely). I wasn't sure if I could provide it with enough light to bloom it. This last year I put it directly under my 2ft 8-bulb T5 light fixture. The plant is probably about 3 ft high including the pot. It is as tall as the stand/rack that sits on under the T5 lights and has no more room to grow any taller. It's potted in a plastic pot with sphagnum moss sitting in a clay pot for stability...it is due for a repot in a bad way...it hasn't been repotted since I got it. Anyways, thought I would share this beauty with everyone and I wanted to say thank you to Jerry for such a beauty! The color doesn't compare to the pictures I see on the web. The color of blooms in the picture of the entire plant are off but are pretty close in the other pictures.

The flowers are a huge tribute! The fact that you can grow this so well under lights is amazing.

Thank you! I must admit, the size of the plant is the work of Jerry (Leisurely). I've added several canes to it since having it, but it was monster sized when I received it. Jerry is a great grower!

I grow terrarium begonias and gesneriads under T8s. I've always admired the fact of folks that have the ability to grow orchids under lights.
