I don't know what happened but here is Jeff9's photo that I copied few minute ago.(I hope Jeff doesn't mind...)
Picture is small, so double click it to see it better.
Jeff9's Den. agathodaemonis: (edited: On March 7, I found out the plant on photo was not Jeff's plant and I am not sure if it is Jeff's photo either... so I have to delete this photo. Sorry for the confusion because no photo now)

That's pretty much what my plant looks like - leggier, taller and scrawnier than the other cuthbertsonii.

Hey guys,
good thing you reposted the image, i reorganised my photostream and deleted some things.
i have researched this a while ago also, and it's not very clear at all either.
if it was down to me, i would consider it a seperate species and not a variety of d.cuthbertsonii, the foliage is just completely diffrent. and the growth habit seems to be also.
i have also noticed that my plant had much shorter canes, and its very crowded, there are loads of small canes.
i have seen pictures of d.agathodaemonis were it was just a few canes that were much longer than mine.
i grow it quite bright, the canes itself are actually red and the leaves green

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for joining in. Woods has an interesting discussion of this "species" in his book on the Oxyglossums. He considers them one species and suggests that the problem is that there is no clear difference in their range. However, he also suggests that the difference in form is due to light and habitat, but this is rather clearly not the case at least when the two are grown in cultivation.

No the plant i linked is not mine.
I picked up my order today with about 10 oxyglossum species seedlings. Hopefully i can get most of them to grow well.
All the information is getting quite hard to find and im tired of sifting through tons of pages to get what i want.
Would you guys be intrested if i set up a database or spreadsheet about oxyglossums so we can share culture information there?
I have already collected some detailed information from a few friends for alot of species (temp, light, etc).
J

Jeff, it will be nice to tell us if the plant is not your when you post it in forums. If it is not your photo, please say so too. Just my two cents.
Edited: I have deleted THAT photo on my previous post(go back up few posts).
