Default Dendrobium in bloom

This winter 2011, my orchids are happily blooming. Among them is my dendrobium nobile. I just feel happy that I am able to grow them, for awhile I thought they are not happy, but it seems they are

So sharing their photos here, and hope it makes you all happy as well

What have you done to get them going? My Emma White has a small growth.

sii

your Emma White is a standard Den-Phal not a nobile like the one in this thread.

It needs fairly high sunlight and blooms in the spring. In Ontario I would put it outside around May June or whenever your night temperatures will stay above 45. Your spring is much later then mine.

orchidsamore,
do you think by the window would be okay? It's an east window.

My only concerns are the 'little feet' that roam the backyard (rabbits, squirrrels, skunks, cats, kids...) could possibly knock it over.

I also bought another dendrobium today. How can I find out what kind it is? (still learning )
