Some of my dendrobium species in bloom
Hi,
Three of my dendrobium species - pendulum, primilinum and williamsonii - are in bloom.
Here are some pictures.

Beautiful plants, Suresh! I love the Dendrobiums that are closely related to nobile. Are you growing these in windowsills?

Hi Nathaniel,
i grow them on my balcony where they get plenty of air and light, but no direct sunlight except for an hour or two in the mornings during the summer months.

Well, they look pretty happy with how you're growing them! I wish I could grow these outdoors year-round, but even the cold-loving species would freeze solid in our winters...

Hi Nathaniel,
Since these dendrobium species need a winter rest you could keep them indoor with an occasional spraying to keep the plant from totally dehydrating. once the new shoots start showing around feb/march you could move them out and start regular watering.

Thanks Suresh! I grow a few species and hybrids from this section indoors with some going out in the summer. Some of them are much easier to maintain and bloom than others. I'd love to grow the larger species like anosmum, devonianum, etc. but I just don't have the space for them right now.

Very beautiful. The first one looks like gratiosismum. Den. pendulum has much thicker canes and bigger fatter nodes. Flower color is white with yellow throat and deep purple tips on petals and sepals.
