Do you know me?
Aren't NOids always the prettiest. This has a light fushia tint to the purple shade, I think maybe it is one from Mexico.

It's a Dendrobium, but from the Far East, not from Mexico. There are no Dendrobiums native to Mexico, unless you mean that it's a hybrid produced in Mexico. It does appear to be a hybrid and since these are produced commercially for the cut flower market as well as for the gift market there are so many hybrids that finding a name is impossible.

I bought one very simular to it a few years ago that I have been trying to identify. I was told that it doesn't need a rest period, and it hasn't bloomed for a while, so I'm waiting for it to bloom again so I can identify it. Does yours need a rest period?

It is a cross of Dendrobium nobile's family.
These crosses usually bloom in spring after a period of winter rest.

To stimulate the flower buds produce, winter rest is must. Because the climate where I am located is very similar to that of Den. nobile, we just avoid watering them too much and also give them sun light exposure as much as possible. They will bloom regularly every year.
In souther countries, if they do not have distinct winter, these plants tend to grow and do not want to bloom.
