Hi Camille, this species is very easy to grow outside of a terrarium. I just gave mine to my brother (trying to get him hooked on orchids too

), but it's busting out blooms all over the place. I was growing it in a bright W-SW facing kitchen window, I-W temps and near-constant moisture. Humidity in the kitchen is a bit higher than the rest of the house, but I still don't think it tops 40-50% RH this time of year. Growing it mounted you might need a terrarium to keep up the moisture, but these do very well in tiny pots. Give it a try, it's a charming species!
