This is the first rebloom for me on this plant. It presented the flower upside down but it still looks pretty cute. The plant and flower are miniature. The flower is about the size of my pinky fingernail.

What a little cutie! I want to get one, but the local grower where I was going to get it didn't recommend it unless I had a terrarium... How are you growing yours?

Hi Camille, this species is very easy to grow outside of a terrarium. I just gave mine to my brother (trying to get him hooked on orchids too ), but it's busting out blooms all over the place. I was growing it in a bright W-SW facing kitchen window, I-W temps and near-constant moisture. Humidity in the kitchen is a bit higher than the rest of the house, but I still don't think it tops 40-50% RH this time of year. Growing it mounted you might need a terrarium to keep up the moisture, but these do very well in tiny pots. Give it a try, it's a charming species!

Thanks everyone. It really is a cutie.

CamilleI have not found it to be at all fussy about growing condtions. I'm growing it with all the rest of the chids. Intermediate to warm temps, bright light and try and keep it moist. My RH is 60% on a good day. Grow it the way you would grow any other Den from the Latouria section. I am growing mine in a tiny pot in fine CHC. It's shooting out new roots all over the place so I know it's happy. They don't like to get dry.

Good to know it can be grown outside of a terrarium, I was very disappointed about not getting one. Maybe the grower meant that they prefer terrariums? In any case, next time I spot one of these I'm buying it!
