I guess I figured "everyone" had one because it's a yamamoto hybrid...silly me!
Silken, I honestly did nearly nothing to mine to get it to bloom. Because I live very far south, I left it outside until I actually saw the flower spikes forming...we had a cold spell for about 3 weeks where the temps dropped to the 40's and I left them a little dryer than normal, but not much. I went to check it one day and the spikes were starting to form, so I brought it inside. That's about it! I wouldn't hold watering at all....just make the waterings less frequent and not as thorough. They need about a month of night temps around 45 to induce flowering according to yamamoto.
