Default antelope type Dendrobium

Yesterday I saw this Den. at Lowes and just had to have it. Too bad they so seldom have labels on their plants.

I love the antelopes -
Dendrobium antennanum is one on my wish list
Dendrobium lasienthera x self is another I saw it at a website. A 3.5 inch pot goes for $50 ..
A bit steep for me!

Nice one! Love the twisted petals. Great color too. I may have to check out the orchids at Lowes the next time I'm there.

Dorothy,I love the antelopes too. They are rather graceful, not garish, and some have a pleasant fragrance. I haven't a clue as to what this one may be. The canes are 12 inches tall, and the flower spike is 18 inches.

Terry, this is the first time I have seen any antelopes in Lowes,so I grabbed it. Some time ago I told the garden manager in the store that they needed more variety in the orchid group. Now,if they could control the watering we'd be all set.

Nancy

There are other species and hybrids that have twisted petals .. schomburgkia and it's hybrids with laelias and cattleyas. I recently purchased 2 and am patiently awaiting their arrival!
