My mother got this for me at Lowe's a few weeks ago. It's my first Dendrobium and I'm starting out with a less expensive one for now.

I kind of skipped the introduction I guess... I don't really have much to say to break the ice I suppose. I'm more of a jump right into it head first kind of person Mine came packed in sphag too, but I ripped most of it out when I got it home. It will most likely be repotted in a bark chip mix too. Glad to hear it is an easy one. Thanks for the warm welcome

Really pretty, great first Den. I have similar ones, different colours but similar types of Den and they are really easy, in fact just reallised today that all three of them are in spike.

Anyway, I just treat them the same all year round, watering when the medium starts to go dry, I keep them, in a west window at my standard house temps of 20C and they do great. Sometimes they need more light to get them to flower and I put them outside or in the greenhouse, but generally speaking they don't need much special treatment at all.
