Lovely flower. I really like the delicate purple tint on the edge of the lip.

Default Dendrobium Maiden Charlotte x Microchip

Hi all.....I just received a Dendrobium Maiden Charlotte x Microchip from Roy Tokunaga of H&R Nurseries. The orchid was bare root (shipped to Vancouver Island) and dry and I would like to know how best to pot it. The suggestion was to plant it in spag moss to help revive it then as new root growth developed transplant it into a bark mix. can anyone confirm that this is the way to go.

BernieK, Welcome to the Orchid Board!

This kind of Dendrobium requires much more water than many other kinds of Dens. If it dries out for long it will start withering away. The instructions you got should work; if your growing area doesn't have relatively high humidity, I would keep it in sphagnum moss instead of bark. If you use bark you will probably need fine bark. This isn't a large plant.
