Calvin my humidity is all over the place. Right now it is 90% because it is raining but two days ago with the sun and the exhaust fans running it was under 20%. I don't do anything special to keep it at a higher or lower percentage.

You might consider adding more sphag to keep the moisture available for a longer period of time. Hopefully you can reduce the heat which I imagine would help with the stress.

I'm considering putting mine, mount and all, in a clay pot and adding sphag around it to keep it even more moist. It's a great plant - mine has been in bloom over two years. I hope you can work it out.

Thanks for the tips. Mine is mounted, which is why I hesitate to take it from the humid tank it's in (the tank is also too warm). However, I will put it into a clay pot and move it to my cool bathroom. Do you give it warmer summers, or is it pretty much intermediate-cool year around?

Calvin I grow it 8-10' from my cooler wall. Guessing, I would say it is grown in intermediate conditions.

It wants a cooler day time temp but still needs a warm-er night time temp, high 50's/low 60's. It isn't a den that wants or needs a cold night temp to be happy.

Do I have you really confused now?

Brooke

Hi, Can you tell me, if this can make real keiki? It is a bloom spike of Den. tobaense with a root.
