Dendrobium Cochliodes blooming

One month ago in May, my Dendrobium Cochliodes decided to put out 3 flower spikes. This is strange, considering that the last bloomed just ended some time in Feb.
This is the flower spikes in late May

This is the plant today. 2 more spikes have yet to open their flowers. If this plant flower so often, it is going to be a very rewarding and favorite orchid of mine.

Ah... That's a question for the experts. The flowers have golden fringe on a dark flower, very pretty.

Very nice display. I have a Noid hybrid that has some of the same characteristics so I looked up cochliodes. Den. cochliodes is a species but the bloom differs from yours in that the petals and sepals are longer and much more twisted. I'm not trying to be rude...just trying to educate myself. Maybe someone else will chime in but I'm thinking your plant is a cochliodes hybrid.

No input on species/hybrid, but wow those are amazing flowers!

Thanks. When the plant first flowered few months back, it put up 2 spikes, and the flowers are also very nice.
They were more "twisted" then the current bloom. I think it could be because the current bloom just started, develop as fully yet.

I am glad you like it as much as I do. When I first saw it, I was so surprise that orchid can look so dark! And the golden trimmings! simply amazing, orchids.
