Default Dendrobium fimbriatum

I bought one of these 4 years ago that has never bloomed for me, so I broke down and bought another that had buds on it and several new growths coming...

Oooh, great flowers. No wonder you had to get one about to flower. Hope it does well for you.

D.fimbriatum is cool growing specie. You need dry resting period from Oct-Nov till end of Feb-March with night time temperature around 10'C. Without the chilling rest like D.nobile, it will not bloom.

I do give it a winter rest like a lot of my dens, but for some reason my original plant wasn't doing anything...until I bought a new one and now at least the old one is putting out 3 new growths
