Default Dendrobium parishii

I always love when this one blooms for me!
It is currently growing on a mount, but it has managed to grow on both sides, so now I have to hang it from a pot so the leaves don't get smashed...

You're parishii looks beautiful! A good friend sent me one last week. I know nothing about it so I'm interested in how you grow yours! Right now mine is potted with bark. Any other suggestions for me?

Thanx
Katie

Hi Katie,
Mine is mounted on tree fern. I grow it in fairly bright light and water as needed, which for me right now is daily. I give it a slight winter rest and it seems to spring back every spring!
Oh and I fertilize weekly, or at least I should and I usually do at least 3 times a month...

Nice growing, Laura! As pretty as the flowers are on this species, I think I like the fragrance even better. The sweet raspberry scent is one of those that I just keep going back to smell over and over.

Curiously, I have a Dendrobium Nestor (anosmum x parishii) that just finished blooming a couple of weeks ago. A lot of these smell nice like both parents, but mine smells very strongly of burning hair! Pretty nasty, my wife made me move it further away from our bedroom so she wouldn't have to 'experience' it in the morning! One of those times when I think she permanently lost a little more patience with my orchid habit...
