Default Dend. Illusion

This is a hybrid between the large-flowered but micro-miniature Dendrobium cuthbertsonii and the cane-type Dendrobium lawesii. The plants of this hybrid are about three inches tall, much larger than cuthbertsonii, but much small than lawesii and the flowers are about the same size as cuthbertsonii. The individual flowers last as long as six months.

Ron, this hybrid is gorgeous!! The picture of the whole plant is fantastic! do you grow it more like cuthbertsonii or like lawesii?

P.S.- maybe it is a silly question, as now I am not sure whether both species have the same requirements...

Ramon, I grow it like cuthbertsonii, as cool as I can keep it and in a pot (I generally grow lawesii mounted). It's really a nice substitute for cuthbertsonii and a bit easier to grow, I think, for someone who has trouble with that tiny species.

So neat to see some traits with such dominance over others.
