Repotting a saved Den. Speciosum
Default Repotting a saved Den. Speciosum

Hi

I have adopted a Den. Speciosum (not sure variety) from a friend. Many of the leaves were damaged by slugs and what looked like sunburn. And one cane if fairly yellow with looks like some rotting. They are fairly full canes around 40-50cm long with two or three leaves per cane.

I plan to repot so would like to know how deep the canes should be in the medium? Should the canes be just below the surface? Looking at some I have in the garden, the psuedobulbs seemed to just sit on the surface.

Any help appreciated?

Cheers

John

Pot the same as the ones in the garden. These plants live on rock formations etc and the cane hate being buried.
