Hi, I have one which is mounted on a clay slab with a bit of s. moss, gets a fair amount of filtered morning sun. I mist it every morning in the summer and it does very well. One of my most exciting flowers! Enjoy it.

Teeny got an unplanned repotting today when it decided to jump out of my hand while I was rearranging things.
Thank heavens the plant is undamaged, and the pot was intact. As it turns out upon inspecting the old media, feels like it needed replacing anyways.

eta: also, was pleased to see the little guy has a pretty robust root system!

Do these guys like being under-potted? Since they prefer mounting, I was thinking it would prefer the bigger, airier chunks of bark- I'll post pictures of my first-ever-by the seat of my pants-repotting later.

I can see how that would give you a little scare! I've done that with plants in bloom and broken
the flower spike.
But on the bright side, at least you got a good look at the roots and you don't have to repot for another year.

Teeny has it in for me. I know it. I assumed the biggest bulb was the leading growth (it's also the healthiest) and planted it slightly farther from the edge. If I was wrong, there's space on other sides too.

I saved the bit of moss that was growing on top and used it when I repotted- figured it was good for humidity.

Either this guy has a deathwish, or I need my head examined. I'm REALLY not this clumsy of a person.

Wouldn't you know, as I was heading back up the stairs to put him in his proper place in my room, out of my hands he jumps again.
Through the stairs (they're open), bounces off the piano, and rolls halfway across the room.

His name isn't Teeny any more. It's STINKER. or BUGGER.


eta: His one redeeming quality is that despite these stunts, everything is still intact.
