Den. "Aussie Chip" is Den. aberrans x atroviolaceum 'Pygmy.' It's growing in a 4" teak basket. I should have photographed this a month ago when it looked like a small shrub of flowers, but I got lazy. The outsides of the flowers are spotted, and more interesting than the insides! Nice sweet scent during daylight hours.
Thanks, Laura! It languished for a while, not doing much of anything, then took off last year, almost doubling in size. It's in lava rock, sphag, and chc. I cut some plastic screening to fit the inside of the basket to keep the medium in.
Wow...Yours looks much different than mine. I haven't noticed any fragrance either. I didn't really check until just now though. My flowers are white though with the same type of spotting...any thoughts? Is this just a difference from one seed grown plant to another?
