Default Dendrobium specie ID requested

A friend of mine gave me a few months ago a Dendrobium who is blooming now. I have absolutely no idea of the name of this specie.
Anyone to help ?

Hi Philippe, this one resembles Den. findlayanum, though the lip looks like it's shaped a little different than most of the pictures I've seen of this one. The pseudobulb/cane with the 'string of beads' look is a characteristic of findlayanum. I think there are a few other species with similar vegetative morphology, such as Den. pendulum, though from what I've read there are differences in growth habit and blooms (for example pendulum is supposed to get larger and branch more). Any fragrance?

Good job Nathaniel ! It is D. findlayanum. I was thinking that the flower was completely opened but it was not. Now it is clear that it is D. findlayanum.
You are right too when saying that D. pendulum has the same pseudobulb.

Beautiful plant, Philippe, thanks for sharing! I'd love to see if the pseudobulb shape ever breeds true when crossed with other species or hybrids...
