Default Dendrobium chrysanthum

D. chrysanthum is one of the few cane Dendrobium that blooms in full summer. It is also interesting that the flowers, born in pairs always in oposition to the leaves, always appear while the leaves are green and beautiful (they will fall latter, when the flowers are already gone). The canes are pendant and can be several feet long. As is common in many Dendrobium species, the lip is covered inside and outside by yellow hairs and the backside of the sepals and petals by tiny warts.

There are two types of Dendrobium chrysanthum according to the flowering season.
One flowers in spring and the other flowers in early autumn just because they come from different distributions.

Philippe, as i know, the plants coming from south China and Vietnam bloom in autumn.
It is interesting that another case, Dendrobium secundum, also has two kinds of groups that bloom in spring and in fall.
