Den. Enobi Purple 'Splash'
My Enobi Purple is blooming again. This plant was pictured in last year's Orchid Board calendar. I feel this is one of the most fabulous dendrobiums available today. The plant is still growing. It has more flowers this year than last year.

$100 is probably the going price for a well grown mature plant. For those interested in buying one of these, I highly recommend that you purchase a blooming plant with flowers or a cutting of a plant with flowers. Less than 5% of the mericlones come out splashed. Most will bloom completely lavender.

I have just ordered a Ded. Enobi Purple 'Splash" from Crystal Star Orchids in New Market, Ontario, Canada. Blooming size is $10.00 and FS (Flowering) is $15.00. Our orchid society received a letter from this company. The guy says he likes to collect orders from lots of people and orchid societies and places a large collective order to Taiwan or wherever. He claims he imports from all over and has huge lists of offerings. I believe they will come bare root to you. Our society's executive is placing a small order with him to see what we get before putting it out to our members for a group order and my experimental item is this dendrobium, along with a psycopsis. It's worth a try and not much money lost if it isn't a splashed flower. I hope mine is tho! The Dend was found on list number 17 to simplify things and I think you have to contact him to get the lists. Hope that helps.
Silken.
