Help! Dendrobium Laevifolium :(
Default Help! Dendrobium Laevifolium :(

About three weeks ago I put my dendrobium laevifolium in my vivarium. About a week after, a leaf turned yellow and now a couple of others are also turning yellow at the base. One leaf is see thru. What could the problem be?

Note the speckles on the leaf to the left are frog feces, not disease :P

too wet maybe? rot? maybe needs more air circulation rather than stagnant humidity

Mine went into my tank immediately after purchase (I purchased it specifically for the tank.) Mine did the same thing. Mine wasn't as wet as yours, though - yet it slowly lost all its leaves and one day I just threw it away. I don't think they can easily handle the high humidity (mine was kept at 90+ humidity, but not wet, per se.) I do know they want very bright light - not shade.

Default outlook not good?

Thanks for your replies. This den requires a winter rest right? I watered it like I normally do a few days ago and that is when things turned for the worse. Could that be an issue too?

I would take it out spray with or dunk in fungicide , keep it dry. Mist it once a week.
