White fussy stuff on roots?? Female
Default White fussy stuff on roots??

I noticed this white fussy stuff a few days ago. Now I am getting ready to mount the den, but need to know how to take care or the fussy stuff before mounting. Can anybody help ?

I am sorry the stuff is not easy to photograph. Here is a link to something far worse than whats on my plant. I believe its some type of mold due to the breaking down of the medium that the plant is potted in.

If what you've got is like that last pic then it does look like mold.

Usually this is caused by not enough air movement. I tried keeping orchids in a spare room and because we did not use the room there was no air movement and I got mold. I've stopped keeping them in there and the same orchids, in the same medium, with the same treatment do fine in the rooms we are in and out of all the time.
