What a beauty! I hate it that Dendrobiums always seem to perish when I try them They're such a lovely species!
Love the birdnest! That must be so much fun to watch!

Those babies are so sweet. Great pics Mauro, thank you. I have the loddigesii, a pretty big one too and this (and my S. wardi) are the ones I'm most excited about for next year. Mine will never look as great as yours (until I change my setup) but it gives me something to aspire to.
Ramon, different dialects? That is so interesting and curioius, I love it!

Thanks, Sandy! But, you know, that's what is fun with orchids, we can always aspire, we can always improve, we can always get better to better care for them. I'm sure yours is going to look great!!

Sandy, it is not uncommon that bird species with a wide distribution range has different dialects. Zonotrichia capensis is not an exception.. the interesting with this species is that due to the very large distribution, it has many many different dialects. If you move one bird to a different region, after a while it will learn the local dialect too.

Ramon, I think this is one of the birds you educated me about last year when I was looking for an ID on the nest in my Staghorn Fern
See? I was paying attention
Sorry for the hijack, Mauro
