'Tis the season...for D .nobile questions
Default

If you want to see lots of flowers, do the following.
First, grow them as big as possible during their growth season. Lots of water and fertilizer.
The taller the cane, the more flowers you will see as each node produce flowers.

Second, stop fertilizing when the canes are almost finished growing (this is usually around august for me). To be safe, you can stop fertilizing in July. They will grow fine as long as it gets lots of sun (without burning) and water.

Third, once the weather cools, reduce water, continue with lots of sun, maintain at cool temperature until flower bud forms.

Fourth, wait till spring when they flower naturally or bring them indoor, but you risk bud blasting due to sudden temerature increase and dry air indoor.
